General Context
With the end of the YouTube for Action format, performance-driven YouTube activations have progressively been consolidated into YouTube Demand Gen. In Google Ads, the creation of new Video Action campaigns was discontinued in March 2025, with existing campaigns automatically upgraded during Q2 2025.
In DV360, the option to create new YouTube video action line items was removed in April 2025, with these formats also transitioning to Demand Gen.
