Community Manager Internship (m/f/x)

At blue2purple, we make digital complexity disappear. We’re an independent Brussels agency built at the intersection of storytelling and data, helping ambitious brands turn insight into connection and campaigns into growth that outlasts the next quarter.

We work across content, social, paid search and programmatic, and we keep creativity and performance on the same side of the table.

As our Community Manager Intern, you’ll be the daily voice of our clients on social. You’ll moderate, animate, and turn passive followers into communities that actually show up. Every comment, DM, and mention is a chance to build trust or repair it, and you’ll be on the front line.

You’ll switch between brands and tones without losing your footing, on whichever platform the next conversation is happening.

Key Responsibilities

  • Moderate and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across our clients’ social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and wherever the audience goes next)
  • Deliver social customer care that matches each client’s specific tone of voice
  • Monitor sentiment and conversations around our brand portfolio, spotting both opportunities and risks early
  • Build genuine, active communities, not just follower counts
  • Join creative brainstorms with our creative team and help shape new content formats
  • Support our lead influencer with UGC creator outreach and parcel management

Requirements

Must-haves

  • A bachelor’s in Communication, PR, Digital Marketing, or a related field (or close to it)
  • Fluent in Dutch, French, and English
  • Sharp copywriting with the flexibility to switch from witty to institutional to empathetic in the same hour
  • Real understanding of how each major social platform actually works: its codes, its trends, its in-jokes
  • A first hands-on experience with community management or social customer service
  • Comfortable with Canva, Adobe Express, or equivalents

Nice to have

  • Experience with Agorapulse or similar tools
  • Genuine curiosity about AI tools that can sharpen what we do
